GRIEVE WITH HOPE
Support Group
WHO’S INVITED?
Anyone who has recently experienced the death or loss of a loved one (or is facing death). Perhaps it was your mate, your child, your parent, a brother, sister or friend. It could have been due to a sudden accident, a long or short illness or even a suicide.
WHAT IS THE “GRIEVE WITH HOPE” SUPPORT GROUP?
We are a very small informal group that comes together to share our pain and sorrow, as well as hope and encouragement. There will be practical help for working through this challenging time in your life. It helps to be around others who know how you feel. Some have healed; others are right in the middle of their grief; some are still in shock. There might be tears, laughter and friendship- but there will always be a listening ear and a shoulder to lean on. Hopefully you’ll feel better after coming! Feel free to talk or simply listen.
WHEN DO WE MEET?
Tuesday evenings from 7:00- 8:00PM
You may want to come just once, every week until you no longer need it, or just on occasion when you can use some understanding and hope!
WHERE DO WE MEET?
Forest Hill Christian Church
2121 N. MacArthur Boulevard
Oklahoma City, OK 73127
495-0439
WHO LEADS THE GROUP?
A lot of the support comes from those attending. However, it is facilitated by Eva Juliuson, who is living “the joy that comes after the mourning” of a husband, parent, brother and many other friends and family members who have passed on. She has written extensively on grief, and ministers with the dying and grieving. Contact Eva at evajuliuson@hotmail.com
“Praise the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! He is the Father who is compassionate and the Father who gives comfort. He comforts us whenever we suffer. That is why whenever other people suffer, we are able to comfort them by using the same comfort we have received from God.” 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 |
