Most Gracious Heavenly Father!
You are faithful to lead us through the battles in this life when we ask
You to! Thank You for the peace from knowing You are God. You hold our hand
and show us there is absolutely nothing to fear! Thank You for the beautiful
victory that comes when we walk in Your will. Thank You for the way You led
my sister-in-Christ through her spiritual battle yesterday. You kept her
strong and courageous! Praise You, Lord!!
That's exactly what Jesus told Simon Peter when He warned him that satan
had asked to test him as a farmer sifts his wheat. Jesus said, "I have
prayed that you will not lose your faith! Help your brothers be stronger
when you come back to me." (Luke 22:31-32)
You lifted my friend and helped her not to lose faith. This particular
situation has already strengthened her family and many around her (including
me!) I'm sure this battle has done far more than any of us can imagine!
Thank You for the battle and for the victory!!
Father, there is another spiritual battle going on in Iraq- as the
elections are Sunday. May we all join with the American soldiers and Iraqi
people who are fighting this battle (some with guns, some with ballots and
hopefully- many with prayer!) The most effective weapon available is prayer
and Your word, "for our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but the
rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness,
against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places!" May Your
will be victorious!!
